Day 6 of 30 - Testimonies, Prayers, & Poetry

Precious Father, Sovereign God
I look to You and to You alone
I ask you please to come into my heart
To make my life Your own
 
Take away my heart of stone
And give me a heart of flesh
Help me to love You and live
To give to You my very best
 
So many times I’ve fallen short,
I’ve let You down; I have sinned
Yet each time I cry out to You
You forgive me all over again
 
Recently my days seem hard
I’ve taken on more than I can bear
Help me to look to You
And in obedience to cast my care
 
My greatest desire is to honor You
To serve You and bring You glory
I want others to know who You are
I want to share Your story
 
Precious Father, Sovereign God
Holy is Your Name
May I forever bring You joy
May I never bring You shame.

Confession of Belief

I don’t know how, and I don’t know when. But this I do know. God made me a promise, and it WILL happen. The how and the when are of no concern to me, because I have full confidence in the WHO. Numbers 23 (NKJV) says plainly, “ God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? I Believe in Miracles, Because I Am One

For some time now it has been on my heart to share my testimony here but for reasons I dare not try to explain, I waited. Now I’m certain now it’s time. I don’t know who it’s for but I trust you will find these words at just the proper time and it will encourage your soul and strengthen your faith in The Father – no matter how your circumstances work out. I am the mother of two beautiful teenage girls, 19 and 14. I am also the mother of 8 others, sex unknown, who were never held in my arms but went straight to the bosom of Christ. When I had my first miscarriage, I allowed the enemy to make me think the baby’s death was punishment from God because he’d been conceived in sin. (You will notice that I refer to all of my rainbow babies – babies of miscarriage or still birth – as boys.) Yo, That's My Wife!

Several years ago, when I was still in the early stages of married life (and before my marriage to Christ), my husband and I were at the Noncommissioned Officers’ (NCO) club for happy hour.  We were both active duty Air Force members very fluent in trash talk, but all in fun.  And though a female, I could hold my own with the best of them. So, when I was at the bar waiting for my turn to order a round of drinks, I thought nothing of it when a guy tried to bully his way in front of me. As a regular to the club, I knew he was new and maybe didn’t realize there was a line. Anyway, I said something flippant and he responded. To this day I don’t know what he said but it didn’t go well with others that heard it. As I said, I could hold my own in a verbal altercation. It came with a lot of practice.
