I Believe in Miracles, Because I Am One

For some time now it has been on my heart to share my testimony here but for reasons I dare not try to explain, I waited. Now I’m certain now it’s time. I don’t know who it’s for but I trust you will find these words at just the proper time and it will encourage your soul and strengthen your faith in The Father – no matter how your circumstances work out. I am the mother of two beautiful teenage girls, 19 and 14. I am also the mother of 8 others, sex unknown, who were never held in my arms but went straight to the bosom of Christ. When I had my first miscarriage, I allowed the enemy to make me think the baby’s death was punishment from God because he’d been conceived in sin. (You will notice that I refer to all of my rainbow babies – babies of miscarriage or still birth – as boys.) I Trust You

Sitting just a moment ago, I was watching the television show, “ BetterTogether ” on TBN. I had been flipping through channels and heard the words, “Pray he dies.” What!? But that’s what the panelist said because that’s what had been said to her concerning her son who was born with some “challenges.” I was fully tuned in now and was blessed by their many testimonies. But what stuck with me most was when someone said something along the lines of, “Faith is not based on God’s past performance, but on relationship with Him.” But let’s back up to, “Pray he dies.” Hearing those words took me back to Norfolk Naval Station where my OB doctor in Germany had sent me after hearing I’d returned to the states for a family emergency. The clinic called me up in North Carolina and told me some tests revealed there was a problem with my unborn child, and I needed to get to the nearest military hospital. I'm Going Home

             When my husband retired from the United States Air Force and moved me back to my home state, one of our Sunday afternoon traditions was to pile everyone into my minivan and go for ice cream and a drive. There were only one or two places we visited for ice cream, but the drive could take you anywhere. We generally went in a direction we'd never been before just to see something new.              When I started this blog, I called it “Sharing the Journey” because I knew God was taking me places. He had a good plan for my life and there would be much learned along the way. Recently, I discovered I’d gotten off the path. Actually, I’m still headed where God is leading me, but I’ve taken several side roads and detours.
